    Quota 0

    hi all ,
I created a User and Just granted him create session privilege.
He has quota unlimited Tablespace users. I grant him Create Table privilege. He is able to create table, and insert into them and also select from them.
Now i revoke the Create table privilege , he is not able to create tables, but can still insert. I alter him to quota 0 on tablespace users, Still he is able to Insert . How can we stop him from inserting and allow him to only View his records.
I have other users also using the tablespace who can perform any action.

    Thanks
    Bye

For an existing user, quota zero means no more extents will be allocated. Being an owner of objects is a powerful thing, but you cannot do things such as granting or revoking privileges to/from yourself on your own objects. You can copy your user's schema to another schema (or owner), drop the user with cascade, create public synonyms for the new "old" data, create your user again and only give him create session.
