We are planning to put two production DBs into one solaris host. What should I pay attention to besides disk space and cpu?

    Thanks a lot.

    To name one item: RAM.
To name (ask) another: what else is on the host? Other applications, files, etc?
    How many users?
OLTP, DW, or general usage database?

We have enough memory (12G), cpu and disk space. The DBs are OLPT, dedicated server.

    Any idea?

Have a look at paging space. And if there is something, find out the culprit and tune him. (sort area size)
