Thread: Hash join in partitioned tables

We have a query with outer join running well in non-partitioned tables. But when the tables are changed to hash partition, the query performs TABLE ACCESS FULL and PARITION HASH ALL.
    How come this happens?
    Thanks.

what is the difference in response time??? and look for difference in CPU utilization in both the cases... FTS does not mean bad performance all the time.. it is efficient at times.

    Angry Hash join partitioned tables

With non-partitioned tables, the query picked up the correct indexes and returned within half and hour.
But with hash paritioned tables, the query lasted longer than 6 hours by performing full table scan. It doesn't recognize the local indexes.
