Hi,
I am using Oracle 7.3 for Windows NT. When I am trying to start server manager from command prompt it is giving "ORA-09352 Windows 32-bit Two-Task driver unable to spawn new ORACLE task" Error. Can anyone help me on this?
Thanx in advance,
Supriyo

Please provide the exact version numbers for Oracle and NT. There could be a version conflict. Did you upgrade your OS of late?? Please provide the details

or Do this,
set your environment variable
c:\>set ORACLE_SID=SID
start the service
c:\>net start oracleserviceSID

Thanx for your reply,
Here is what you want to know,
NT Version : NT 4 (Service Pack 4)
Oracle Version : 7.3.4
There should not be any version problem as Oracle was running perfectly until last Saturday and in between there was no upgradation done on the server.
I will try your solution and get back to you...
Rgds,
Supriyo

There's no problem with the 734 & NT4(sp4) version conflict.
either your database is not started.
Or Maybe the machine is stopped/relocated. Check out what your SA is upto!!

Hi ,
could u post the last few lines of alert log ( previously shutdown )
i think it won't be the case of verion incompatibility as it was already working . also is the resgistry entries changed for some reason ??
u can try using oradim utility to recreate the database .
-
Yes, in this case it's not about version incompatibility. It is about oracle service started or not and environment variable set or not.
