Thread: restore command in RMAN

    Hi all, I would like to know when you run ' restore' command in RMAN where Oracle puts the restored file to? Secondly, if I want to restore the file to a different location (temp location) how do i specify that in the restore command. please help..thanks

    RMAN will try to restore it in the same path from where it has been backed up. If you want to restore in a different location see the command "set new name" and "switch"
