    Hi
I wanted to install oracle 816 EE on windows 2000 professional o/s(new pc). I have installed the service pack 2 for the o/s. But, when i double click the setup file from the cd, nothing comesup. I have installed database with the same cd on the same o/s many times in different pcs. what could be the reason?

Just copy all files from oracle cd in to HDD.then rename syscjit.dll to syscjit.org. two files should be there.then u exe.. setup file.then no problem.

    Hi,
The full path of the bad dll is like this:
    \stage\Components\oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.30\1\DataFiles\Expanded\jre\win32\bin\symcjit.dll
