    Hi,

    OEM - 9.0.1 / Win2K / EE 9i.

i have Server A and Server B on the same network.
Each Server have OMS9i,EE9i,>2 DBs,Active Agents.

    Case 1)
From Server A OEM, i login to OMS of Server B, I see under Nodes category Server A and Server B. Further drilling on Server B shows me list of Databases,HTTP Servers, Listeners and SQLServers. Surprisingly when i try to drilldown for Server A, i can see only HTTP Servers.

    Case 2)
From Server A OEM, i login to OMS of Server A, ............................same thing, i cannot find databases for Server A in Node Category.

    Case 3)
From Server B OEM , i loggin to OMS of Server B....same story.

Can any body suggest what i am missing here.

    Thanx
    Jr.

    Thanx for the reply Sam.

I refer to my first posting "Active Agents", i meant Intelligent agents are up and running, Nodes are discoverd fine, but not all objects under one Node is not being displayed.

    Thanx

The SqlNet.ora file is the source information for the Node Option in the OEM console.
The SqlNet.Ora file is written and populated by IntellegentAgent.
And at the bottom line, IntellegentAgent reads informtion of available services/instances from listener.ora file.

Check the Sequences for proper configs.

Make sure your tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files are correct. When on the server you should be able to connect to Oracle using the connect string, rather than a local connection. If you can't do this the Agent will not be able to recognise the presence of a database. Make sure you restart the listener before refreshing any nodes if you changes the network config.

    Cheers

    Agent Service File

Check the file of $ORACLE_HOME\network\agent\service.ora to whether the DB was found by the intelligent agent. if not, check the listener.ora file to see if you have a entry for the database.
