    We've got two instances on the same server so I've set the archive log format to contain the name of the sid to avoid confusion, but the archive log file does not have the right format. - %opcflivo%67_1.ARC.

    Parameter in init.ora
    log_archive_format = %%opcflivo%%%s_%t.arc

    Do I have too many % ?

    Thanks.

    Cool

    joyce_ank,

    Use only:
    log_archive_format = opcflivo_%s_%t.arc

    You can not have % in the file names.

    Check the latest Oracle DBA forums:

    Hope that helps,

    Cool

    To access the OTN link you need valid account and password there.

    It is free so go and create one. A bunch of goodies could be found there.

    Hi,

    If you want to create the filenames along with the sid then give like this:

    log_archive_format=%%ORACLE_SID%%S.ARC.
