    Dear all,
I have a question on the transferring the logs between two servers. I used the HPUX 11.0 and Oracle 9i STANDARD edition. For your information, Standard Edition requires manual managed recover database for the standby database. So I thinking to use another method to transfer the logs in the shortest time.
Anyone have a bright idea to synchornize the logs from production to the secondary server ?

    Thank You.

    Regards,
    ckwan

    Hi,
You can write a cron job so that it will automatically ship the logfiles between the 2 servers.

    Thanks for the reply.
If there are two different databases, can I just transfer the logs to the standby and perform recover database on the standby server.

    Thanks
