I want to connect to my database using SQL*PLUS over the VPN. Anyone has any document about how to this.Can someone write the steps to configure this.
Datebase: Oracle8i R816
OS: WinNT4.0
VPN: Nortel Network Extranet Client

A VPN is nothing more than a secure connection to your network. There is nothing special about the setup, you know the destination IP number. If you can ping it, and the port is open, you can connect to it.

Thanks Jeff for that answer.
I can ping to my destination server.What I want to know what changes/add I need to do at the client machine's TNSNAMES.ORA if there is any.

There are no changes to the tnsnames.ora in a basic VPN setup.
