Thread: not a oracle question, but need some help on Exceed

    I know this is not a oracle question, but I don't know where to ask this question. We are using x-window program called Hummingbird Exceed 7.1 does anybody use this?..please let me know..I have a question to ask..thanks.

    cannot access host servers from x-window...I see some of the servers, but not all of them?..is there problem with exceed, or NFS, or NIS?...I have no clue...please help. I can ping and telnet the host servers from command line that I don't see on Exceed.

    are u behind firewall? could be filtering out those port nos but letting ping and telnet through...

    We use this with no problems at all. What are your settings under communication in the Exceed xconfig?

    in xconfig files are all our host servers IP address and hostnames.... I don't think it's exceed problems..more likely network problems....
