Thread: Problem with a Refresh Group

    Hola,

    I am having problems with certain snapshots that are part of a simple replication environment's refresh group not updating when using DMBS_REFRESH.REFRESH('refresh_group'). I am running a single master site replicating read only snapshots on 16 tables in a refresh group. However, 3 of the tables stopped updating their corresponding snapshots on the snapshot site. I set up the environment using the Replication API in scripts. I am running 8.1.6.3 on the Master Site and 8.1.7.0 on the Snapshot Site. Both database instances are runnning on Solaris 2.6

    I have had no luck with Oracle Support so far. No errors are being logged, and no trace files are being generated.

    Question

    A quick update from Oracle Support seems to indicate that there might be a bug in 8.1.6.x regarding the null refresh optimization feature that is ignoring the fact that these tables have logged new data to be refreshed.

    Any other insights from this group would be greatly appreciated. It seems that there is not a lot of information on troubleshooting replication issues like this one.
