    Hi..

    I was trying to connect forms 4.5 to oracle 8.1.7 !! it is giving tns error !! can somebody help me on this..

    Sorry..they didnt give me the proper desc of the error...

    " Could not connect to TNS listener ORA-12XX" -
    Not sure though ...

    If you tell me the list of steps to follow for config. forms 4.5 to 8.1.7 that would help them in proceeding further..

    There could be several reasons:

    Check if you LISTENER is up and running.

    $LSNRCTL

    >LSNRCTL> status
