    Hi,

Can anyone help or refer me to docs on the following problem.

I dropped a temporary tablespace but the name is still in the data dictionary. In itself, it really isn't a problem, but my backup script queries dba_tablespaces to alter them to backup mode. The script obviously complains that it cannot begin backup on the temp ts, as it isn't actually there. Is there a way of getting this ts right out of the data dictionary?

    thanks in advance

    vinit,

I tried alter tablespace .. offline drop, it didn't work.
I initially dropped the tablespace using OEM. Anyway,
in the meantime I've changed the backup script to query
    dba_data_data files instead of dba_tablespaces.
The reason I back the temporary tablespace up is just for simplicity in case of recovery.

    thanks for your help

    chris.
