    Arrow Dbase to Oracle

    Hello readers,

I have an application running with DBase backend, now I want data in the DBase dbf's to be migrated to Oracle 8i. How to get the DB created in Oracle with the Dbase files and structure. Please can anyone teach a solution to my problem

    Thanks & regards

If the database design is the same, you can export the data from your dbase files in comma delimited or another format that is workable.

Then use SQL*Loader to load it into the Oracle tables. You will need to create the Oracle tables first.

    Good luck.

you can also take the dbase dbfs into excel and then use an odbc to to populate into oracle.

You may want to investigate the use of Oracle Transparent Gateway!!
