I am in process of setting up a Standby Database for SAP.
Is there anything which is to be taken care of, which is more specific to SAP.

    Hello,

To have more information about STANDBY DATABASE, take a look at ORACLE documentation by the name of : "Standby Database Concepts and Administration".

I don't know quite well SAP, but I advise you to take a look at metalink...

    Hope this helps

Your Standby database will be exact replication of your existing database, except, as you know, it runs in recovery mode.
If you have taken care of existing working database well, it will work fine for you in Standby also.
Summary: You will not be doing anything different on Standby database.
