    Does Oracle 8.1.5 work with Windows 2000?

    Not as far as I know. It definately is not certified to do so.

    I have only successfully run 8.1.7 on W2K

    8.1.6 and 8.1.7 are approved to run on w2k by Oracle

    If you have to, try it and see!! 8.1.5 isn't the greatest version ever released!

    I installed to test on w2k 8.1.5 server as well as client..some client problems came up and then immediately moved to 8.1.6. This is also dependent on your application which may need compatibility with oracle versions...dlls etc..I mean..If the application is in different language the problems are more.
