    Hi friends,

Where can I find the info on these oracle privileges?
(Internal, Sysdba, Sysoper) and their assigned privileges.
Are they available in the Data Dictionary? e.g dba_role_privs?
Or they are just stored in ORAPWD.

What is the role/purpose of the user
    AURORA$ORB$UNAUTHENTICATED in dba_users?

    Thank you

This is the name for the internal user.

A suggestion==> There is a very nice tool available for use / administration of oracle called TOAD. You can get a 30 day trial version at http://www.quest.com/requests/?RequestDefID=49

Download and try it out. I can assure you it will help you out a lot. Sure helped me.

    Regards,
    Mohit.

    hello

    This is a guess

What is the role/purpose of the user
    AURORA$ORB$UNAUTHENTICATED in dba_users?

Java virtual machine in the oracle database is called AURORA
and hence this role has got something to do with JVM.

I thought all the while that "internal" refers to the user "sys".

I even tried to connect "sys/change_on_install" and tried to
    shutdown the database.

If your password file is created with a password != change_on_install then connect sys/change_on_install@DB as sysdba will fail.

DBAs usually keep in syncrone the password from the pwd file with SYS' password. At least I do :-)
