Other datbase in the oracle server

I neeed your experinces gentelmen to answer this question
Is it recommended to have another database (delphi Database) in the same oracle server or it could make contention on resources and I/O problems ?

More than 1 DB would use of course more resources but it is not uncommon to run several instances on the same server. There are several things you need to consider when creating an extra instance: memory, I/O contention, etc. But those are solvable problems.
