OEM - when was it first offered? 7.3?

Does anyone know the release history of Enterprise Manager? I'm curious to know when it was first offered. I got into a dicussion last night and I didn't know the answer. I wanted to say 1993/94.

When 7.4 came out... That was when its beta was tested I beleive ...

I contacted Oracle Sales and they didn't have a clue. The rep said OEM came out a long time ago....Like in 1998 or something! Can you believe that? Since when has 3 yrs. been a long time!?!

Well, the search continues. I thought I might find someone at Oracle who could give me some historical info on the DB release history and when Oracle started offering the GUI admin tool. But alas, I couldn't find anyone at Oracle who had been around very long or knew.

Does anyone else have any idea or know of where I might look?

I would beleive it to be some where in 1993 or so from the copyright thing

Thanks for info! I was referred internally to Oracle Media Relations in hopes of gettting this answered. But they've called back wanting to know who I am and why I want to know this and simple curosity wasn't a sufficient answer.
