    Hi friend,

THERE IS NO STANDARD PORT FOR SQL*NET.

ORACLE Listener will listen on port 1521 (by default). Once a listener receives a request (that is on 1521) it creates a new dedicated server process (in dedicated server mode) and it gives the user process the address and port, the user then reconnect to the new address and port. THIS PORT IS NOT SAME AS LISTENER PORT, SERVER CHOSES A RANDOM PORT, AND THIS PORT CANNOT BE DETERMINED.

TO OVER COME THIS PROBLEM YOU HAVE 2 OPTIONS

    1. Open all TCP ports on the server.

    2. Use USE_SHARED_SOCKET initialization parameter in init.ora file.

When you use initialization parameter USE_SHARED_SOCKET. Listener will create a server process that uses the same port as the listener.
