Gateway to Informix

Hi,

I have gateway to informix for HP/UX for 8.1.6. However, the CD talks of documentation in A82924-01.pdf on CD, but I do not find it there. There is no .zip, .tar or .pdf on CD. Has any body used gateway to Informix on this plateform and give me some pointers for documentation & installation as well as configuration.

Thanks for link to documentation. I have downloaded and gone through.

It is not clear where the gateway will reside - on Oracle server machine or Informix machine, if these are on separate machines. While the diagram shows gateway on Informix machine, the insrtallation talks of installing on Oracle machine.

Can anybody help?

On such cases, I would beleive that it would be on the oracle machine. I also would beleve that you could install it on another machibe and make oracle to talk to that machine to talk to the informix system.


oracle --> gateway --> infomix


I haven't used one and so I couldn't anser here presicely to the point of question.
