Listener problem ???

Hi all

The connection from the client to database always need to wait a long time to connect, sometime, it will occurs TNS timeout. But some moments, it will operate as normal.

Please advise me how to solve this problem

Hi Scansir,

provide some more info, like network, users connected at that time. network bottleneck may be one of the causes.

The problem occurs everytimes in the morning.
At that time, the network is not busy and there is no user connected to database.

Normally, when I use TNSPING servername for serveral times, it will wait for a long time until TNS timeout.
( may occurs 1 time only )

I wonder am I set wrong something in the tnsnames or listener.

this is happening from one node only or from many nodes u r facing same situation.

If your database is not configured with MTS, do it now. I think this should solve your problem.

Another reason could be the restriction with no. of sessions
