Removing RAC databases
Hi all,
O/S: RHEL 4 (64 bit)
DB: 10.2.0.1 (64 bit) with ASM
I have to remove a node from a 2 node RAC cluster, upon investigation i found that there are 2 other RAC databases all using the same storage. These 2 databases are not needed and can be removed. This can be done via the dbca (i hope). The question I had was if I was to delete the databases, would it also cause panic to database i want to keep as its all using the same ASM storage? I think it would be unaffected but just want to be sure!
Also the delete database option shows 1 database as inactive and the other 2as active, is the delete option the cleanest way of dropping these databases or does it just hang for manual intervention?
Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chucks.

Unregister databases with CRS,mount in exclusive mode and then use command drop database :) should be clean
