Hi, veritas has this software, VERITAS Bare Metal Restore. I didnt come across that Data proctector or Tivoli has equivalent functionalit. Anyone has come across this?

Nothing in terms of Oracle as far as I'm aware. It's for recovering servers at the OS level from scratch in the event of disaster recovery.
precisely... u can do a direct restore and everything will work from then, instead of doing separate restoration like installing the os, recover the database, and the apps...
