Oracle 8i Installation on Intel UNIX

HI ,,


Anybody knows where to get Oracle 8.1.7 for Intel Solaris..?

I checked in oracle.com but it is available for Sun Sparc only...

One more thing... where runInstaller scripts looks for JRE ? means (default location for JRE) in Linux

you have to buy it, not available for download

For linux Java path is /usr/local/java
you can install the JDK at any place and make a soft link to this location using the following command for instance :

ln -s /user/local/jre113_8 /usr/local/java
