Hi Friends,
I have installed Oracle9i Release 1 and Release 2.
I could find the enrichments in OLAP,DATA MINING, PARTITIONING & XML enhancements.
Is there any other Enhancements available or can i get get any other source to find out the difference between Release1 & 2.

I downloaded 9iR2 and one of the biggest surprises for me was th COMPLETE Enterprisemanager Tuning/Maintenence ....
Oracle-Expert, Tablespace-manager, ...
I have not seen this in R1 -Release from technet.oracle.com

These items are all present in both Oracle8i and Oracle9i Release 1. As far as I can see there is no new functionality in any of these items.

But don't these tools have extra costs option?
They come with the Diagnostics and Tuning packs.
I like "little toys" for DBA in Oracle 9iRel2 like:
-- RENAME COLUMN_NAME !!!!
-- DBA can grant priviligies to any user objects
(without grant there priviligies from owner to dba) !!!
and so on...

Rename Constraint_Name
it act very well on Redhat now, install is very easy and never report any errors.
the GUI tools run very well and never crash now.
Most of all, it support:
logical standby database
RAC support Cluster Filesystem on many OS now
