Yes, this is dependant on what the role of the DBA the business has defined. In some shops, using the DBA as an auxilliary programmer is part of the job's responsibilities.Quote:

Personally, though, I can't stand writing code for the business side. I find it boring and repetitive. If I HAVE to write code, it will be for the automation of database administration.
