...as far as I remember it doesn't tells you how much free space you have in used blocks. Please correct me if I'm wrong.Quote:

there isnt a correct way to find the free space inside a used block, things gets worse with ASSM
Code:
example with a 350000 rows table
BEFORE DELETE:
NOM_TABLA: LSC$SRC
-----------------------------
Free Blocks............................. 0
Total Blocks............................ 14,976
Total Bytes............................. 122,683,392
Total MBytes............................ 117
Unused Blocks........................... 5
Unused Bytes............................ 40,960
Last Used Ext FileId.................... 8
Last Used Ext BlockId................... 15,625
Last Used Block......................... 123
-----------------------------
AFTER DELETE:
NOM_TABLA: LSC$SRC
-----------------------------
Free Blocks............................. 14,970
Total Blocks............................ 14,976
Total Bytes............................. 122,683,392
Total MBytes............................ 117
Unused Blocks........................... 5
Unused Bytes............................ 40,960
Last Used Ext FileId.................... 8
Last Used Ext BlockId................... 15,625
Last Used Block......................... 123
-----------------------------
Mhhnnnn... my reading of the post is slightly different, poster is not looking for HWM, poster is looking for actual used spaceQuote:

My boss is just asking plain black n white report:
"FREE" SPACE vs "USED" SPACE
When column/stats in the dba_tables are near representative of these two?
By the way pando, how do u get that output? Why is there before delete/ after delete? When I am not yet deleting rows in my table
Thanks
