How can I move RMAN's backup set to another place ???

When you are using NFS you are ultimately using RMAN's backup only to restore.The target host has to have acesses to the backup files created by RMAN.

If you do not want to do this then you should configure your media manager in such a way that Host B is the client for restoring the backupset.

Media manger is a piece of software that manges your backup to tapes.

Contact your sysadmin for that

That's what I found for 8i - a right pain in the butt. (Has it changed for more recent releases?)

You can change the directory structure completely for the restored DB, but the backup pieces MUST be in the directory where RMAN put them (even when cloning to a different box).

I dont think so .But there is something called the backup of backupset from 9i onwards by making use of which we can copy a backupset from one location to another and the restore can pick it from the new location.
