I don't find this reason to be relevant one neither for this discussion nor as a comment to the mentioned article. Why? Because both the original question of this thread as well as the article discuses the habit of rebuilding indexes regularly (ie rebuilding the same indexes over and over again in (more or less) regular intervals)! Your case is a different one, it's one-time action in an index's liftime. So totally different subject.
That's another one of your fuzzy answers. I don't agree with your kind of arguments. You seem to like to argue too much :-)
