Both different only developer need to take "Report Builder"
and Oracle internet application developer didn't need to.
So, you must feel good for choice Oracle internet application developer and not Oracle application developer, because you only take 2 exam not 3 exam.

i took 1z0-121 instead of 1z0-131 in may 2002. The test is lot easier then the 131. I got 55/60. Almost 90% questions were from STS.
A friend of mine first took 131 and failed and two weeks later took 121 and passed 56/60.
My feeling is that the pool of questions fro 121 r easier then the pool of questions for 131, which is a relatively new test.
Also in 131 there r lots of questions with 2 correct answers, so if u pick one wrong u dont get any partial credit. There is nothing like this in 121.
My recommendation to those who want to get certified, follow the path of least resistance. take 1z0-121 instead of 131. keep in mind that 1z0-121 retires July 31, 2002. So u need to pass it before that. Hurry up and good luck.

How much time would you say it takes to prepare for the 1z0-121, if you have the ILT and STS ? Do you think it would be possible in 4-5 weeks? (having passed 1z0-001)

If you have ILT and STS, 3-4 weeks are enough to clear the exam. Make sure that you practice the exercises in ILT.
