30K US dollars, right here in my city of Dallas. I do not have a job, and I feel stupid for not accepting this offer. [/B][/QUOTE]
Always do this:
Once an offer is made (regardless of what it is) ask if it is acceptable to have 24 hours to make a decision. This way you can go home, think about it, get angry, think some more, and then make a decision.
Remember that you can counter-offer with statistics to backup (data) why you think you are worth more than the offer.
I believe that one should NEVER accept an offer at the time it is presented regardless of what the offer is. Ask for a day or two and think things through. Sometimes an offer is too good to be true and there could be ramifications that you might not think of at the moment.
I agree the people above. I cannot hurt at all to swallow some pride, call them up, appologize, explain yourself, and then see where this leads you. Worse case, you are back where you started (jobless).
Live and learn my friend. We all make mistakes. Can you LEARN from yours?
Ah! I'll be in Dallas next week playing at the VOLLEYBALL NATIONALS competition at the Convention Center! Look for team 'WVC-Yucca' in the mens AA division May 25 - May 28! You can even drink/buy beer in the convention center!
