And who told you that? Many IT-companies in Scandinavia still run their databases on Oracle 7. Very few even think of 9i! Workers are not familiar yet with 9i. 9i is twice bigger in potential than 8i and 8i is twice bigger than 7.Quote:

I would suggest going with OCP 9i Why not be among the first to get certified in 9i.It will be advantageous Job requirements have allready started looking for OCP 9i.I personally feel we should go for
OCP 9i

This question has come up regularly in this forum. I am doing the 8i track and plan on upgrading to 9i. I am not a DBA, instead I support a software application that sits on top of Oracle. None of our customers has moved to 9i, in fact, there are more than a few that are still on 8.0 and even some that are still on 7.3.4. I think that because of the economy many companies are in the mode of "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I don't see any of our customers moving to 9i before the end of the year.
