Must be coincidence? It happened when I upgraded FireFox to 1.0.5 today.
Yup, it's the same with I.E.
Oh no, this is unacceptable.
Fire the webmaster! If it's Linda then I plead that we choose someone else to blame.:D
But this thing sucks gigatime!
AWFUL
Who designed this layout?
Hmmm, doesn't bother me -- in fact i didn't notice it till it was pointed out.
So, are we gonna do sumthin about it or not?!! Joe? Linda?
I don't much like it either.Quote:

Then the choice is obvious get rid of the stupid ads. Jeeesh, it's not like anyone clicks on them anyway. You people keep messing with your users and your users are going to start going to places like THIS and it's not something I want to do.Quote:

You mean this is not a coding accident and it is intentional, are you friggin kidding me!!??
No, and I mean NO other forum has a lyaout this lame, CHANGE IT, IT SUCKS!!
Actually about 85% of our forums have this layout. I just added an option to expand the forum to fullscreen width with a click.
This is not helping your case really.Quote:

Where is this new option?
The text appears at the top of each post. Click to expand.
Thanks for trying JP, but it only expands the current page for me.
That's all it is supposed to do. We're obligated to serve the ad with each page load.
then stick it at the bottom where its out the way and those who want to click can (like how it used to be) if it aint broke and all that
Well it wasn't at the bottom before, it was at the top. And we don't have leeway to place it wherever we wish to. The advertiser decides the position they wish to pay for, and we're bound to that agreement. We also thought the RSS feed would be useful.
:o Uhm.......
Sure. I'd love an RSS feed. But? Where do I find it?
Regards,
Arian
The RSS Feed is essentially a duplication of the "Oracle News" forum. Personally, I'd rather have more real-estate and check the "Oracle News" forum on my time rather than having the RSS feed taking up 1/3 of my screen showing articles I've already read.Quote:

True but a good DBA is always prepared, in this case with lots of ammo.Quote:

Have you developers seen this new look on a 15" LCD? It just looks pants. I can't even post a reply to a topic without scrolling :-(
seriously, put it back to how it was, it was fine as it was
Don't you see Davey someone had just wayyyy too much time on thier hands and decided to fix something that wasn't broken. Besides it's all about the $$ anyway. Companies /websites don't care about their users, whatever will generate income is what drives them.Quote:

Is anybody (Joe, Linda) listening to us? Or it doesn’t matter.
Let’s have a poll on this. (Sorry guys you need to scroll all the way up to the top. Don’t look at the ads.) Let’s choose them out.
As Paul Sr. says "What is is, and what was was." The poll is irrelavent. It has come down from above that this is the way the forums will look. If they wanted our opinion, they would have asked for it. If you don't like the new format, don't participate.Quote:
