logminer incomplete sql

When I query v$logmnr_contents for sql_undo and sql_redo, it does not show the complete statements.
Is there some setting that I need to change. They both show as being varchar2(4000) in v$logmnr_contents.
I am using 8.1.6(Solaris). Thanks for any help.

set long 4000

I think part of my problem is a bug (1059067) which occurs when the block size is larger than 2K.
