What kind of XML support does Oracle 8.1.6 provide? Do I need to use the XML parsers or there is some native support in the Oracle engine for doing XML?

Check out http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml/i.../about_xml.htm and read through all the parts, or at least skim and you'll get an idea. I haven't had a reason to use it yet but found this to be the best article about it so far. Part 1 is just some XML basics so you could skip to part two for the oracle stuff.
