Hi Guys,

I installed oracle 11i on windows 2000 ( Vision demo database) successfully. Also i installed Advanced desktop integrator.

When i tried to signon from ADI its asking the parameters like:

Database name :

Actually the database name is VIS. When i entered this its saying the database name must be minimum of 6 characters.
Anyways i proceeded with the name vision.

GWYUID : APPLSYSPUB/PUB
FNDNAM : APPS
CONNECTSTRING : VIS ( AS IN TNS NAMES WHICH CONNECTS TO THE VIS DATABASE)

AND WHEN I CLICK OK its asking for :

username ,password and database.

I am literally not aware of what username and password i should give. I tried with numerous combinations but futile.

I appreciate any sort of reply to this mail.

Hi Ravi,
It's misleading when it asks for Database details as u might enter the database logon details as I did. The username & p/w it's looking for are those u use to login to Oracle Apps itself. Also, if VIS doesn't work for u, maybe trying VIS.WORLD might help.
