    db server restarting

    the database server is restarting daily and how can we check because of any issues with the database... the problem is occuring.
    the Os is sun solaris and the database is 9i

    Can you write your question in simple english? I read it 4 times, but still not clear. Are you asking your D/B is restarting automatically and you need to know where to check error.

    sorry dear....
    the server which the database located is restarting daily.
    so i need to know it is happening because of any database related problem or not?

    1- Look at Alert Log
    2- Ask Sysadmin if they are bouncing the server in a daily basis -if not, ask them to look into server side logs.

    i check the alert log , there is no error...
    i will check with the sysadmin to have a look into the serverside logs...
