Hi everyone,

How can I tell whether the Oracle is 8 or 8i by looking at the version #? I don't
want to start sqlplus or svrmgrl to find out. I notice some of my oracle 8 has
version starting 8.0.x and oracle 8i has version 8.1.x.x. Can I look at 8.0.x and
consider as oracle 8 and 8.1.x as oracle 8i??
