Netbackup 7.1 AIX 6.1 Oracle 11gR2 upgrade Backup issue

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum.

We have upgraded Oracle from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3 on AIX 6.1.0.5 in SAP environment. AIX was also upgraded from 6100-05-02-1034 to 6100-07-02-1150. This AIX upgrade was a requirment for Oracle upgrade. We are using BRTOOLS to backup our database on Netbackup 7.1.

Since after the upgrade the backup failing with error - Backup of datafile is failed due to error 41: server status : network connection timed out.

This failure happens after backing-up some datafiles successfully. So some of the datafiles gets backed-up and then rest of them fails.

Netbackup says its a Netwrok issue. Network team says how the backup were successful before the upgrade if its network issue. And also why other 10g systems are still backing up in the same environment.

Can anyone please help ?

Questions 1: Can we upgrade without Oracle 11gR2 upgrade AIX upgrade ?
Question 2: Could there be any issue in AIX ?
Question 3: What should we check in Netbackup configurations ?

Any other help ?
