Davey is right deprecated desont mean it doesnt work but its just a hint to you that you should stop using it if your scripts still depend upon sqlplus copy command in some future version it will not work or it might not work as expected.

Very much like raw devices in Linux .Linux kernel devbelopers in the latest release depreacted raw devices in favour of Direct I/O but that doesnt mean raw devices will not work
