Thread: Changing server time

    Question

    We found out that our server time is incorrect (half an hour slow) on the Linux server. Can the System Admin correct the time without it adversely affecting the database?

    No, the database must be down in order to change the server time.

    we've be able to change the server time on Linux without having to bounce the db - the db has the same time as the server
