Your Database was down - How ?
shutdown immediate ? or Crashed.

You had to reboot it back ? Again, what, do you mean to say you reboot the Server, correct me if i am wrong.

In case you reboot the Server, the uptime is misleading you, if not it is correct as the DB Server was running and only the instance was down.

Paste the exceprts from Alert_SID.log just before and after the time all this happened
