It allready happened! For Sun Niagara chips (4, 6 or 8 cores per chip), Oracle will charge it's licences with factor 0.25 for a core, as opposed to current 0.75 factor. In other words, for those 4-core chips you'll pay one processor license, for 8-core chips you'll pay as for two processor license.
