    Question

    I'm using a oracle 8i 8.1.6 enterprise edition I'm trying to import a dump file from oracle 8 database

    I have a dump file that I'm trying to import into my database using the import wizard but It keeps giving me an authentication error. I'm logged in to the console manager. can anyone help.

    In Preferences put Preferred Credentials for the node and the database. (This error is for the node)
    The user for the node has to be an Operating System user, in Unix who install Oracle, in NT Administrator could be OK.
    In NT the user has to have the right to connect as a service.
