10g R2 Install - OS checks failed

I got the below error when running the Installer:

$Xlib: connection to "test:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified


I did have my DISPLAY set as follow:

export DISPLAY=test:0.0

Um, like "test" is not a valid hostname? Or "test" is not allowing X connections?
