I just noticed you are running 10g AIX 5L. I just found out the hard way that I needed to apply patch IY59082, which is not mentioned in the install guide. The database will freeze and you cannot kill the processes. I tried 'kill -9' and 'ipcrm -m' and nothing worked. The only resolution is to restart the server to get the sga out of memory. We have a p690 with 6 other 9i databases on it so the load was heavy. The metalink note is 285158.1 if you need it. The problem is on AIX 5.2 using jsf2 filesystems and a heavy load. I was lucky enough to qualify in all these categories :-(
