I have seen this happen also. (8.1.5 and 8.1.6 on WinNT) I have noticed that it usually does not crash the database the 2nd time you try it (after the dictionary file is alredy created). So it is far from ideal but at least you can use it.

I don't have a workaround for the initial crash though.
