Yes, I believe it will work.

You are correct thoughm Forms/Reports 6i must be installed into their own seperate home and not the one the database is installed in.

They will be able to see your database providing you configure the tnsnames.ora file for the new Oracle Home (i.e. where Forms/Reports are).
